Race for the Cure – October 2, 2010
The Komen Charlotte Race for the Cure® raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. It is a unique walk/run that brings thousands of participants and volunteers together with one common goal, to help eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. On Race day, signs are provided “in memory of” or “in honor of” loved ones for participants to pin on their backs. It is a personal way for individuals to share their stories with others around them. We realize in this hectic world that Saturday mornings are very precious to most of us. However, we promise that if you take the time to participate, it is one Saturday morning you will never forget.
