BOUNDLESS FUNDRAISING WITH FACEBOOK
We are excited to announce that you will soon see a new and improved version of the Boundless Fundraising application on your Facebook page that will include th ability:
- Donate your profile picture to the Race for the Cure logo
- Send a stream story using the application that will include a link for your friends on Facebook to support you with a new donation
- Share your fundraising badge for teh Race on Facebook
- Share your story with other participants from the Race
During the week of August 23rd, Facebook will be moving all applications that live on a user’s Profile Wall to a tab – this means that your Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Boundless Fundraising badge will soon be moving to a “Komen Race” tab on your Facebook page.

If you haven’t already done so, please take the following quick steps today:
1. Login to Facebook
2. Select Accounts/Application Settings
3. Scroll down and select Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®
4. Select the “Add Profile Tab” option

2010 PLEDGE PROGRAM
We are excited to announce a new pledge program that is easy & fun to do! Raise $250, $500, $750 or higher by October 31st and have your choice of brand name merchandise as a “thank you.” The more you raise the better the prizes… from tote bags, cookware, apparel, MP3 players, jewelry, TVs, and more! Awards are distributed according to total dollars raised. Prizes awarded $250 and above will be mailed after November 1, 2010. Grocery totes awarded from the $150 to $249 level must be picked up on Race Day at the Pledge Tents. Prizes are not cumulative.
Your registration fee gets you to the start line, your fundraising gets us to the cures.

BUST A MOVE, KOMEN!
Are you willing to shake your booty for Komen? Are you looking for a fun and unique way to draw attention to your team or your individual efforts to support Komen’s cause? Join our YouTube Video Contest!
Gather your team members together, select a song, and put together a creative and entertaining video showing members of your team getting ready for the Race, promoting your team, or just celebrating life!
Our staff and Board Members got together to put together a sample video for you, and we are hoping that by watching this, you will want to “Get It Started!” To check out the Komen staff, Board Members, and a handful of random Komen supporters from the streets of Charlotte as we “BUST A MOVE, KOMEN!”
Prizes will be awarded at the Race Kick-off to the video that has received the most “hits” as of September 16th, as well as the video that the judges determine to be the best. Break out your dancin’ shoes, get creative, and HAVE FUN!

NEWKS SURVIVOR OF THE MONTH
Would you like to surprise a much deserving friend or family member going through treatment? Newk’s Express Café is looking to award a special night out to a local breast cancer survivor.
The Charlotte Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure has teamed with Newk’s Express Cafe to host 12 Survivors and their family one a month for one year! It’s not just a dinner, but a night for the entire family to be pampered by the Newk’s staff. Email your nominations to RFTC@komencharlotte.org
