Team FAQ

What is the final date to register as a team member?
The team registration deadline is September 26th.

Can someone be added to a team after the deadline?
We restrict official team registration to September 26th so we can determine award winners in time for Race Day.  However, participants are still able to register up until Race Day.  If you have friends or co-workers who decide to participate after the team deadline, we welcome them!  They will not be counted toward your team’s official number, but they can run or walk with your team.

How do my team members get their race packets (shirts and bibs)?
When participants register by September 12th, they will automatically have their packets mailed to them free of charge.  After that date, all packets are scheduled for individual pickup.  Pickup locations, dates, and times are listed on the Registration and Packet Pickup page.  If you will be picking up packets for your team, please email packetpickup@komencharlotte.org at least 48 hours in advance and let us know the pickup location so we can have the packets bundled for you ahead of time.

How do I know who has registered for my team?
When you set up your team you will have created a team page that will show everyone who has registered under your team name.

What if my company wants to sponsor my team?
For corporations wishing to sponsor team member’s Race registration fees, please email admin@komencharlotte.org.

A team member signed up online as an individual, but meant to sign up on my team.  How do I correct this?
Send an email to teams@komencharlotte.org before September 26th with the individual’s name and the name of the team they should be on.

Can I change the URL link for my team page?
Yes, log into your Participant Center and go to the Team Page.  Click on URL settings and then you can change the 'end' of your link.  Click on Save and then you can email that link to friends and family!

Who should checks be made payable to?
Please make all checks payable to Komen Charlotte Race for the Cure.  On the check memo line, please include your name and your team name.  If it is clearly marked, you will get the fundraising credit.

Where do I send my pledges?
If you have pledges that were not collected online, please send them to:

Pledges may also be dropped off at the Team Village on Race Day.

Where should I tell my team to meet?
Ask your team to meet you in the Team Village.  Review the Event Site Map for location information.

Are pets, bikes, skateboards, or strollers allowed at the Race?
For the safety of all participants, pets, bikes, and skateboards are not allowed at the Race.  Strollers are fine, however we ask that those with strollers start the Race toward the back of the pack.

What time should I plan on getting to the Race?
Ask your team to meet in Team Village between 6:00 AM and 7:15 AM.
