Boat People, SOS – Mecklenburg County
The “Health Awareness and Prevention Project” pledges to raise awareness and increase the breast cancer screening rate among Vietnamese women of Greater Charlotte, North Carolina.
Cabarrus Health Alliance – Cabarrus County
The “Breast Health Outreach and Advocacy” program provides outreach, education and screening services targeting low income women, particularly minority women in Cabarrus County.
Cancer Services of Gaston County – Gaston County
“Project PINK” provides education, awareness, and treatment assistance to uninsured/underinsured patients in Gaston and Lincoln counties.
Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast – Cabarrus County
Carolinas Medical Center – NorthEast provides screening mammograms and diagnostic services to uninsured and underinsured residents of Cabarrus and neighboring counties. Additionally, lymphedema support and services are offered through this grant.
Carolinas Rehabilitation – Main - Mecklenburg County
Accessible Compression Therapy for an Underserved Population “ACT-UP” provides treatment and compression bandages and garments for women with lymphedema who are otherwise unable to afford them.

“No Woman Left Behind” provides breast cancer screening and advanced diagnostic services for the underserved and/or disadvantaged women in the community who do not qualify for other means of assistance.
Catawba Service Unit - Indian Health Services – York County
The “Catawba Indian Breast Cancer Prevention Project” provides screening mammograms for the uninsured and provides group breast health and self-exam education for women of the Catawba Indian Nation.
Charlotte Community Health Clinic, Inc. – Mecklenburg County
The Charlotte Community Health Clinic has a “Women’s Clinic” that provides screening mammography, clinical breast exams and breast healthcare education to women aged 19 and over at the Health Clinic.

Chestnut Grove Community Center – Iredell County
At the “Healing Our Community” annual NAACP Health Fair, underserved and/or disadvantaged women can register for a mammogram to be provided at Iredell Regional Hospital.
C.W. Williams Community Health Center, Inc. – Mecklenburg County
The “Mammography Program for the Uninsured” will provide education, breast screening exams, diagnostic exams, and biopsies to uninsured patients at CW Williams.
Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council – Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, York and Union Counties
“Scouting for the Cure” provides breast cancer health awareness in girls and their families in an educational, non-threatening manner.
Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region – Mecklenburg County
This program ensures all patients with breast cancer have access to the agency’s end-of-life services as well as palliative care services for indigent and underinsured patients in the nine-county region.
Kannapolis Church of God – Rowan County
The “Community Breast Health Outreach Project” will increase Breast Health Outreach in Rowan County by providing screening and diagnostic mammograms, as well as ultrasounds to uninsured and underinsured Rowan County women.
Lincoln County Health Department – Lincoln County
The “Pink with a Purpose” program will provide screening and diagnostic mammograms to uninsured and underinsured women in Lincoln County, with an emphasis on serving minority women who are not eligible for BCCCP services.
Mecklenburg County Health Department – Mecklenburg County
The “Person-to-Person” program provides culturally sensitive breast health education, screening mammograms and diagnostic procedures to low-income minority women in Mecklenburg County by collaborating with community groups and local agencies.

Presbyterian Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center– Mecklenburg County
This program provides one-time financial assistance to women living with breast cancer in the Komen Charlotte 9-county service area, who, because of their cancer diagnosis, are unable to work, pay bills, or pay for medication.
Presbyterian Cancer Center – Rehab
This “Cancer Rehabilitation and Wellness Program” provides lymphedema treatment services and compression garments to breast cancer survivors with the goal of improving and/or maintaining the quality of life for breast cancer survivors.
Presbyterian Cancer Center – Screening
This Presbyterian program offers screening and diagnostic mammograms, as well as quarterly education outreach, to medically underserved women in the community. All women will receive culturally-appropriate breast health information.

Rowan County Health Department – Rowan County
The “Breast Health Screening Service” program provides screening mammograms for uninsured or underinsured women in Rowan County.
Sisters' Network – Piedmont Carolinas Chapter – Mecklenburg County
“The R.O.S.E. Project”(Reaching Our Sisters through Education) uses education outreach as a method to improve breast cancer survivorship among African American population through various projects.
Stanly Regional Medical Center – Stanly County
“Project CURE”(Caring, Understanding, Reaching Out, Educating) provides education and screening to underinsured/uninsured women in Stanly County.
Union County Health Department – Union County
The “About Breast Cancer (ABC) Project” builds on outreach from previous years for community based education of breast cancer, targeting minority women; funds additional health department services for clients not eligible for BCCCP; and provides quarterly mammogram screening and breast health education.
